A Fun Way To Tell Stories

As Told By is a service that lets you easily tell and share stories. You can choose to tell the story by yourself or you can add in your friends.

Telling Stories With Friends

You can start a story and then add your friends as authors. You start off the story, you give it a title, and you write the first piece (anywhere from a few words to a few chapters, it's your choice). When you are done, the story becomes locked and the next person in the group gets a chance to write their piece. When they finish their additions it locks to them and keeps going down the chain of authors until everyone has had a chance. When the last person on the list finishes it comes back to you to start again.

Make It More Fun

As Told By has added a few things to make it more... interesting. You can limit the number of words that each author can use (from one all the way up to tens of thousands), and you can force the next author to use a word or phrase that you choose. You could, for example, limit the number of words to 20 and require your Ford-loving friend to use the phrase "I hate Fords".

Facebook

As Told By makes it very easy to share your stories on Facebook so that you can easily let your friends see what you have written. We also make it easy for people to "Like" and comment on it.

Rather Read Stories Than Tell Them?

As Told By makes it easy to find interesting stories. You can search for an author or a story, or you can simply look at our rankings of the most popular stories or most popular authors. There is also a section for the most recently updated stories and authors, if you like to find new stuff before it become popular.
